Japan, US, Canada practice close Kuril Islands

Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force announced the launch of naval maneuvers with the US and Canadian navies off the coast of the Kuril Islands on Monday, Kyodo said. These are the first always drills close the islands under Russian control that Japan is claiming.
