Jan Urban: the most crucial thing is ahead

The Polish squad coach Jan Urban, in an interview with the Polish Press Agency, assessed that his staff's selection of footballers was appropriate. He added that although he feels the satisfaction of his fans, he realizes that "all that is most crucial is before us."

The selector announced that in the November match against the Netherlands there would be no suspended Bartosz Slisz and Przemysław Wiśniewski, and possible replacements are inactive being considered.

He besides referred to the injury of Robert Lewandowski, expressing his hope that the injury would not be serious. “I believe that it will be nothing dangerous,” said the selector, noting that Lewandowski was only signalling a comparatively light ailments.

However, this situation raises questions about the deficiency of footballers – Urban admitted that although he is watching the improvement of youth players with interest, Polish football faces the problem of deficiency of young athletes ready to play in the team. At the same time, the selector stated that the representation “has small space”, and he himself does not mostly call a large number of players.
