Marshal of the Sejm Vladimir Czarzasty decided to ban the sale of alcohol in the Sejm. The wheel MP Free Republicans, Marek Jakubiak was clearly dissatisfied with this change.
Vladimir Czarzaty replaced Simon Holovnia as talker of the Sejm. 1 of his first decisions was to sign the order to ban the sale of alcoholic beverages in buildings and in areas managed by the Chancellery of the Sejm.
On RMF FM air, Marek Jakubiak was asked to respond to this ban. Is this a place for peculiar people or what? For example, we're gonna go out at 8:00 to talk about something, so, what, we're just gonna sit at the compote? Over tea? – he said.
Kaczyński agreed with the ban
Earlier, Jarosław Kaczyński was asked about his opinion on the subject. The president of PiS admitted that alcohol in the Sejm was “a bad thing” and agreed with the marshal's resolution, although he pointed out that it was his private opinion.
– It is hard to inform the public about the request to ban (sale of alcohol) at petrol stations, about the request to ban the sale of alcohol at night, without setting an example from the Sejm, i.e. those people who will pass specified a law," explained Włodzimierz Czarzasta on Wednesday.
