This year the conference will start with a summit of energy safety Poland - Lithuania, which will be attended by energy ministers of Poland and Lithuania Miłosz Motyka and Gabriel Gorbacevski, as well as defence ministers Paweł Zalewski and Tomas Godliauskas. Poland and Lithuania treat Baltic safety as their precedence not only for military or economical reasons but besides for energy – oil supplies, gas supplies take place by sea, and Warsaw and Vilnius plan to make offshore wind energy. Both countries besides cooperate in the area of natural materials and energy on land, Poland and Lithuania connects the GIPL gas pipeline as well as the LitPolLink energy bridge. After last year's synchronisation of the Baltic countries with the European energy system, Poland is 1 of the key stabilisers of the energy strategy of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
