So it happened. Despite promises of gigantic changes, mass of events across Poland and large hopes, this year's parliamentary elections The Confederacy achieved a consequence well below the expectations of both its sympathizers and the leaders themselves.
However, this is not entirely the failure any liberal media have rejected. Compared to the 2019 election, the organization introduced more Members to the Sejm, and is able to make its own parliamentary club. Clearly, that's not what the Confederates fought for. So why is it that during this word there will not be specified a loudly proclaimed “turnover of the table”?
First of all, the interior crisis of the Confederacy's identity as a coalition must be pointed out. Over the last months of the election campaign, it may have seemed that the organization had no circumstantial mark group to which it directed its message. No niche she could get into. The electors of conservative and national values focused the Law and Justice and its buildings in their hands. A large part of them from the Confederacy rejected the deficiency of emphasis on any worldview issues during the run and a heavy antisocial program pushed by the Liberal wing of the party.
The program that was theoretically meant to attract more centre-right voters. These in turn repelled the controversy surrounding organization leaders and the fact that there was a much more balanced alternate in the form of the PSL-Third Road coalition, which was placed 3rd in terms of the number of votes.
As a result, Confederate ideas did not convince the organization of anyone but an iron electorate, among which there was besides any friction. The voters on national attitudes were driven by the inexpensive populism of Sławomir Mentzen and the inexpressibility of leaders from the National Movement, whose influence in the Confederacy run was virtually invisible.
They were very light with characteristic characters from fresh Hope. Mentzen's character for any time was practically synonymous with the Confederacy. And that turned out to be a mistake.
Mentzen did not make a good impression on unconvinced voters. A peculiarly bright case of this is the series of interactions with Ryszard Petru, starting with the tragic debate in RMF FM, on the confrontation of both politicians during the rally in Poznań. There was no substantive answer, in place of the fast, “fun” consequence from TikToka known to Torun fans.
There are besides controversial figures from the Confederate electoral lists that have exposed the organization to unnecessary whiplash from already negative media. Liberal-supporter of abortion and Silesia autonomy or model stripping for money for erotic magazines are perfect candidates of a organization professing to be conservative. Nor should we forget, let us not be afraid of this word, the idiotic statements of many politicians at the very end of the campaign.
Janusz Korwin-Mikke became a disgraceful winner in this category, who began to proclaim scandalous claims that praised these sexual perversions during the discovery of the large pedophile scandal in the Polish environment of influencers.
All these problems consisted of a large snowball effect, from which Confederate politicians preferred to distract with slogans about “turning the table” and gold farts with the image of the Prime Minister scattered during Bosak and Mentzen's speeches.
And the audience saw it. Ignoring the increasingly populist narratived problems even the most hardened electorate in the eyes.
