Berlin seeks to test the anticipation of utilizing this strategy (International Monitoring System, IMS) under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) Treaty for tracking rocket launchs abroad. The global monitoring strategy is simply a global network of sensors designed to detect and evidence incidents indicating the anticipation of atomic explosion. The strategy includes 321 seismic, infrasonic, hydroacoustic and radionuclide monitoring stations, 16 radionuclide laboratories and the global Data Centre (located in Vienna, Austria).
