"It wasn't Europe that started the confrontation with the US" - said European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday in the European Parliament in Strasbourg during a debate on the announcements of the imposition of duties on the EU by the US president Donald Trump administration. "We do not want retaliation, but we have a strong plan (for specified actions), if necessary," she said.
