“After reading the book, many people told me that they had akin experiences or that they could see something about their life or their mother’s or friends’ lives. That's how it works – people start thinking, “I'm not the only 1 who has it, I'm not the only 1 experiencing it as a problem, it's not my responsibility that I don't feel safe here, that I'm having problem walking around the city with a child,” says Leslie Kern, author of “Cities for Women”.
