The Onet portal reveals further irregularities related to the provision of funds from the Government strategical Reserve Agency, then managed by Michał Kuczmierowski, a close associate of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the regulation of the United Right. An investigation into this case was initiated by the Central Anti-corruption Bureau.
The money was transferred by RARS without a bid on the accounts belonging to Paweł Szopa. As stated in the CBA report: A characteristic component of the case is that RARS orders are directed to a pre-selected narrow group of people, including entrepreneur Paweł Szopa, who obtains for goods sold to the Agency prices far higher than the actual marketplace value.
The brand called "Red is Bad", which produces clothing decorated with patriotic motifs, was very supported by Law and Justice politicians. frequently and eagerly they appeared in public in clothes with this logo. The company store was visited by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who besides accepted its owner in his law firm. He did not avoid photographing himself in “Red is Bad” clothes by president Andrzej Duda himself. The owner of the company Paweł Szopa founded a foundation of the same name, which was expected to work for planet War II veterans, mainly Warsaw insurgents.
The peculiar operation that the CBA initiated on the money outflow from the RARS was coded “Walet”. Its consequence was a study presented by Onet. A large part of it are records of Paul Szopa's conversations with co-workers, registered at the time of CBA surveillance.
