Israeli aviation destroyed a secret atomic base on the outskirts of Tehran, where they worked to "expand the possible required for atomic weapons," said Israel's Defence Force spokesperson (IDF) General Efi Defrin at a press conference today.

Defrin said the base called Minzadehei was located west of Tehran, partially underground.

According to the IDF after the 12-day war of June 2025. Iran "has not halted its military atomic activities and continued to make the possible required for atomic weapons, transferring infrastructure to an underground facility protected from air strikes".

IDF claims to have been tracking the movement of Iranian atomic weapons scientists and "has located their fresh workplace in this facility, which has enabled a precise impact on this secret complex".

In Minzadehei, they worked on "the improvement of a key component of atomic weapons," the Times of Israel portal reported.
