Israeli abroad Minister Gideon Saar present expressed his belief that Iran was severely weakened, but only the Iranians themselves can overthrow the government in Tehran. The Israeli military had previously reported on the killing of Ali Larigani, who was described as the “actual leader of the Iranian regime”.
Saar emphasized that the Iranians are safer after killing Laridian. As he pointed out, Laridjani led the Iranian repression apparatus and was liable for both killing Iranians and attacking civilians in Israel.
Iran has not yet confirmed the death of Larigani, who was secretary of the ultimate National safety Council, liable for directing Iran's abroad and safety policy. Larijani had held advanced positions in the Iranian power apparatus for years and was considered a close associate of the country's ultimate leader Ali Chamenei, killed at the start of the war.
