The Israeli army declared on Tuesday, following an operational investigation,
that Monday incidental in the Bani Hajjan region
in confederate Lebanon, resulting in the death of UNIFIL peacekeepers, was not bound
with her actions.
The military reported in a communication on platform X that "Israeli defence Forces soldiers had not planted any explosive charge there and that there were no Israeli defence Forces soldiers in the area at all".
"Israeli defence forces work against Hezbollah,
not against UNIFIL, Lebanese Armed Forces or Lebanese civilians," the army assured.
Israeli Army besides called for UNIFIL mission
to avoid the fighting zones in which the evacuation order was issued.
Two Indonesian soldiers from the UNIFIL contingent were killed Monday as a consequence of an detonation likely caused by a mine detonation
– reminded the AFP agency.
By informing of the initiation of the investigation, the Israeli army suggested that Hezbollah's terrorist organization, supported by Iran, might be liable for the incident.
Ten European countries and the European Union called for a joint message on Tuesday
to guarantee “security” for UNIFIL forces.
