A fragment of the Iranian rocket struck the Old Town of Jerusalem today, about 400 metres from the Crying Wall and Al-Aksa mosque complex on the Temple Hill. Israeli police have reported that pyrotechnics and bomb squads are working on site to neutralize the facility.
Emergency sirens were launched respective times present in Jerusalem to inform against incoming missiles.
Photos and recordings made available by Israeli social services show smoke floating over the Old Town close the Al-Aksa complex, which has remained closed since the beginning of the war with Iran.
The shrapnel of the Iranian rocket fell about 400 metres from the Wailing Wall – the only preserved part of the complex of the ancient Temple of Jerusalem and the most sacred place of Judaism.
