Italy to take command of NATO conflict group in Bulgaria

Italy took command of 1,000 troops on Monday and a NATO conflict group formed in March practicing at the New-Sel training ground in east Bulgaria. It is tasked with strengthening the Alliance's east flank following Russia's assault on Ukraine.
