In 2018–2022, the Polish state issued over 2,000,000 first permits for abroad residents, mainly Ukrainians, but besides Belarusians, Hindus and Georgians. It's more than Germany or Spain at the same time.
Eurostat data (2018-2022) on the number of permits: – Poland 2 030 767; – Germany: 2 020 309; – Spain: 1 813 047
When we carefully observe the current situation in the country and at the external borders, we must not forget that mass immigration is not the consequence of a year and a half of Donald Tusk's rule. This is simply a process initiated by Mateusz Morawiecki and PiS. Eurostat figures leave no doubt: it was the government of PiS that massively opened the boundaries for labour migration, Tusk just keeps the door open early. We must not forget this guilt!
In 2022 Poland was the second country in the EU in terms of the number of first abroad residence permits issued (21.1% of all permits in the EU), giving up only to Germany.
Why does it matter?
Because present the PiS is wearing an anti-migration mask. Politicians who opened the integration centres of foreigners in Wielkopolska or Lublin a fewer years ago present parade on anti-migration manifestations. Mateusz Morawiecki, who brought in mass immigrants from muslim countries, from Africa and Asia present waved a bill to ban migration from the mediate East. In 2022 alone, they adopted 136,000 citizens of muslim countries specified as Uzbekistan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Nigeria. It's a hippie!
On the another hand, erstwhile you hear from government politicians that we “must accept migrants to work”, remember that it is not the vital interest of our nation or even the request of the EU, but the decision of Polish governments, which themselves have taken a policy of mass migration, bringing millions of people to us. Without any national debate, without asking the public for permission, Poland was treated as a table in Excel. The figures are to agree with them, they see the request to replace foreigners of Poles who went abroad.
It's time to call things by name: whoever ruled, who opened boundaries.
