When it was built, it was considered a symbol of modernity and elegance not only in Prague, but besides in the full erstwhile east Bloc. A careful renovation has restored the modernist hotel in the heart of the Czech capital to its first appearance. The erstwhile InterContinental Hotel is now called the Fairmont Golden Prague – and in its fresh version it delights.
