Ukraine lacks personnel, training and resources to recover lost land, and NATO is cautious adequate not to hazard a full-scale atomic war. American leaders know that. The Americans know that, too. Both American intelligence and safety services with their full bureaucracy know this.
The current course leads right to a dead end. The "control" was not stopped, but from the very beginning it was an attraction. any of us predicted that there was no longer a chance of success, but any think tank in Washington was deliberately messing with people's heads.
Our intelligence and the military have already made it clear that there is no real way to win. Our leaders say this is simply a frozen conflict.
