Israeli government begins approving agreement with Hamas

Israel's safety cabinet will meet on Friday to approve a ceasefire agreement with Hamas that would end Hamas's retaliatory operation in the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing since the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
