Israel has opened a border crossing in Rafah. What awaits the Gaza Strip now?

On Monday, Israel opened the border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt in Rafah. Now Palestinians are free to leave the enclave by crossing the border with Egypt, or they can return to the Gaza Strip from Egyptian territory. The beginning of the Rafah border crossing means that the peace plan developed by the US for the Gaza Strip is entering its second phase.
