Israel continues to attack Beirut and tries to penetrate deep into Lebanon

Israeli troops have advanced farthest into Lebanon since invading the country's south in early October and then withdrawing after fighting with Hezbollah, Lebanese state media reported Saturday. Israeli airstrikes continue.
