Israel attacked the council electing the fresh leader of Iran

The Assembly of Experts is simply a body of about 90 high-ranking Shiite clerics, liable for selecting and supervising the ultimate Leader. According to an Israeli source, the aim of the operation was the leadership of the council, choosing a successor to Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the airstrike.
