Since the beginning of armored weapons, 1 of the fundamental problems that builders gotta face is to supply the crew, and in peculiar the combat vehicle commander, with adequate situational awareness, especially at short and average distances. Already in the 80s of the XX century, thanks to the revolution in the field of electronics, trials began with the solution of the above problem. However, it is only now, with the further improvement of electronics and optoelectronics and its miniaturization, that appropriate solutions can be implemented into operation.
