Iranian-American Escalation

The attack took place on Sunday, January 28, early in the morning, and it is not entirely clear whether it took place on the Jordanian side or on the Syrian side of the border. This second version was given by Jordanian sources. Jordan, who evidently powerfully condemned the attack, however, stressed that no of her soldiers were killed and were not injured and suffered any another losses as a consequence of it. The American Tower22 base, with about 350 U.S. troops, is located in the Rukban area on the Jordanian-Syrian border, just off the border with Iraq.
