The Iranian attack on Qatar's most crucial gas installation caused a fire on Wednesday, but it has already been mastered, reported the Qatari authorities.
"Civil defence has overrun the Ras Laffan fire. There is no information about the injured," the Iranian Ministry of the Interior stated in the Communication.
However, the Qatari authorities reported that the fire caused ‘significant’ damage.
Previously, Reuter's agency reported, citing a origin acquainted with the case that the LNG installations in Ras Laffan were evacuated due to Iran's informing that this was 1 of the targets to be attacked "in the coming hours".
The Ras Laffan facility, owned by QatarEnergy, provides about 1 5th of global supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG). In 2025, QatarEnergy exported 80.97 million tons of LNG.
