During the first days of the war, Iran's goal was to weaken the American anti-aircraft defense. Therefore, they first attacked US radar deployed in the mediate East. According to satellite images, at least 1 of the radars has been destroyed. This is simply a painful failure – not only was it an crucial component of the system, it cost at least half a billion dollars.
