While in the first phase of mainstream media seemed to have missed protests in Iran – possibly due to a constant attack in Venezuela – they later adopted a heavy exaggerated tone. There are no shortages of reports of "hundreds of thousands, if not millions" of Iranians who are going out on the street, or of cities which were expected to be taken over by protesters. In fact, there is no evidence of this, and the available video footage shows more than hundreds of demonstrators with whom safety forces are already dealing, long trained for specified situations and trained in combat. Disconnection of mobile networks and the net on the 1 hand facilitates specified actions and on the another hand hinders the mobilisation of demonstrators.
