Iranian diplomacy chief Abbas Aragchi announced present that his state intends to proceed to fight the US and Israel. In an interview with state television, he denied that peace negotiations would proceed with the US, and pointed out that specified negotiations would be a admission to failure.
– Now our position is simply a continuation of resistance. [...] We do not intend to negotiate, so far no negotiations have been held, our position here is very fundamental [...]. Talking about negotiations now would be admitting defeat," Aragchi stressed.
The chief of Iranian diplomacy said that the exchange of messages by mediators “does not mean negotiations with the US”. He added that U.S. representatives had given a message to the highest Iranian authorities, and that they would “tell them their position if needed”.
