Twenty people were arrested in northwestern Iran for "trying to work with Israel," said the press agency Tasni, quoted by Reuters today. The detainees were made in the state of West Azerbaijan, and the arrested were to supply data on the location of Iranian military and safety resources.
No further information was given on this subject. Reuters cites Israeli sources according to which the army of this country began a fresh phase of the attack on Iran last week, as stated. It is intended to consist in attacking crucial points for national safety on the basis of field informants.
The Tasnim Agency is affiliated with the muslim Revolutionary defender Corps; it unofficially has the opinion of a propaganda institution whose main task is to fight abroad communications on Iran.
On Saturday, it was 2 weeks after the start of the Israeli and US war against Iran. According to the wellness ministry in Tehran, over 1.2 000 people were killed and more than 10 000 injured as a consequence of the actions of the armies of both countries. The UN exile Agency (UNHCR) estimates that about 3.2 million people have left their homes.
