The editor-in-chief of the Tehran paper "Jomhouri Eslami" founded at the dawn of the muslim Revolution by Ali Chamenei asked the direct question, "How does Russia controlling Syrian airspace not prevent air strikes against Iranian targets?". Masih Mohajeri, chief of the Iranian paper stressed that Tehran has suffered besides much losses in Syria in fresh months. "Have Iranian officials always asked themselves why there are never specified attacks on Russian forces in Syria and why Russia's advanced air defence does not prevent Israel's crimes against Iran?" he asked Mohajeri, suggesting that "the time has come to re-evaluate our security.".
