Apple's iPhone Mirroring feature, which is already a year old, is inactive unavailable in the European Union and seems to stay so in the macOS Tahoe system.
At a conference for WWDC 2025 developers last week, Apple informed the French technology website Numeramathat the iPhone Mirroring function will stay unavailable in the European Union due to persistent regulatory uncertainty.
Apple has not developed this issue, but may fear that the European Commission will yet force it to extend iPhone Mirroring to Windows or to offer Android Mirroring features on Mac computers. In addition, Apple's offering iPhone Mirroring on Mac computers can contribute to the European Commission's designation of macOS as a ‘watchman’ platform, like iOS and iPadOS, which would subject this platform to stricter rules in the European Union.
Last year, the iPhone Mirroring feature introduced in the macOS Sequoia strategy allows interaction with iPhone in the Mac desktop window via wireless connection. You can usage the iPhone app, receive iPhone notifications and not only, straight on your Mac.
