In Belarus, a large-scale inspection of the military's readiness to fight began. Alaksandr Lukashenka decided to launch it. Control was started immediately and without prior notice.
The State BelTA agency reported that the intent of the inspection is to check the real state of the army and the level of training of soldiers. First, a large method safety unit was inspected to store armored weapons and military equipment. Subsequently, the actions included the 19th Self-Mechanized defender Brigade.
Secretary of State of the safety Council of Belarus Alaksander Wolfowicz reported that the inspection was ordered on the basis of a “secret order” personally signed by Lukashenko. As he reported, he received a sealed shipment with a paper and along with the secretariat staff went to the designated military unit.
According to Wolfovich, 1 of the mechanized formations was abruptly put into combat readiness during the peace. He stressed that the president expected all soldier to be full prepared, regardless of the time of day or night.
BeltA reported that Alaksandr Lukashenka personally supervises the inspection all day. It is expected to keep up-to-date with reports, evaluation of performance of tasks and issue further instructions. As noted, the Minister of Defence is observing the actions, but does not affect their course.
According to the reports of the Belarusian authorities, Lukashenko monitors the online inspection and omitting the Ministry of Defence straight introduces the selected units into combat readiness. Wolfowicz besides added that hard weather conditions and low temperatures are to act as a mobilizing force on soldiers.
