They were to compete here with the Russian anti-ship strategy Outway-ME utilizing Ch-35EU missiles. At the turn of the erstwhile year and this year, there were reports in the Indian media that negotiations on the sale of BrahMos to Vietnam were already scheduled to be at the phase of advanced negotiations. The possible contract value was set at USD 700 million.
