Indonesia picks up tanks from Turkey

In 2019, an agreement was signed between PT Pindad from Indonesia and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş from Turkey on the production of the Harimau/Kaplan MT average tank for the Armed Forces of Indonesia, which ordered 18 vehicles in the first batch. A year later, work began on 1 copy, which was demonstrated in the mark configuration at the trade fair [IDEF 2021](https://defence24.pl/technologies/spoke-medium-caplan-in-order configuration). Under this contract, the first 10 tanks will be built in the Turkish FNSS plant, while the remaining 8 in Indonesian PT Pindad. However, according to the information appearing in the media, the preliminary organization is to be larger and cover 20-25 vehicles.
