Indonesia and China agreed to implement 16 fresh investment projects with a full value of $2.19 billion. The information was provided by JakartaGlobal portal on January 12. The projects cover a wide scope of sectors ranging from natural materials and food processing to advanced technologies.

Chinese investments are to cover, among others, base metals, seafood processing, as well as modern areas specified as drones, batteries, artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The aim is to deepen industrial cooperation between the 2 countries.

The agreements are part of the Partnership of Countries and 2 Parks (TCTP). This programme is intended to support the improvement of the processing industry, facilitate cross-border investment and integrate Indonesian and Chinese supply chains. peculiar emphasis is placed on the manufacturing manufacture and natural materials-based sectors.
