India wants to sale T-72 tanks?

India's Land troops presently have about 2418 T-72M1 tanks, any of them upgraded to variants T-72M1 Ajeya Mk1 and Ajeya Mk2. However, these vehicles are inactive considered obsolete and non-perspective. Nevertheless, they are to undergo further modernisation and will then be phased out and offered for export. According to the Indians, tanks are to be mainly offered to customers from Africa, the mediate East and Southeast Asia.
