India-US, a partnership based on common interests

Recently, an article was published by Daniel Markey of the American government agency Institute of Peace on the relation between the United States and India. The author points out that they must be based on common interests, not on the illusion of common values. These 2 countries now have a clearly defined enemy - China and despite Delhi's close ties to Moscow, Washington must treat India pragmatically, as an ally by reason.
