India-USA, a partnership based on common interests

Recently, abroad Affairs magazine published an article written by Daniel Markey of the American government agency Institute of Peace on the relation between the United States and India. The author points out that they must be based on common interests, not on the delusion of shared values. The 2 countries now have a clearly defined enemy - China, and despite Delhi's close ties to Moscow, Washington must treat India pragmatically, as an ally of reason.
