Dr. Paweł Goszyecki

Rector of Józef Gołuchowski Academy of Applied Sciences

Academica 12, 27-400 Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

Subject: Restoration of Dr Leszek Sykulski

Sir,

I address you on my own behalf and on behalf of the nationwide social movement of 16 Postulates (hereinafter R16P), who demands: "Stop dangerous pro-war policies and take diplomatic action for lasting peace in Europe."

Your decision, most likely not a single person, to be deprived of work and expelled on 1 February this year a high-class specialist Dr. Leszek Sykulski from the Academy of Applied Sciences in Ostrowc Świętokrzyski echoed widely in the country and abroad. Acting on behalf of our own and nationwide social movement of 16 Postulates we request that Dr. Leszek Sykulski be reinstated to work.

In the explanatory memorandum, you state that this decision is “related to the controversial activities of an expert” previously employed by you as head of postgraduate studies in the field of Geopolitics and Geostrategegia and as Dean of the Department of Social Sciences. You yourself admit in the justification for the dismissal that “Dr Leszek Sykulski, is undoubtedly a talented didactic, highly appreciated by students.” At this point, the question should be answered:

– Why is Dr. L. Sykulski highly appreciated by students and many Poles listening to his lectures? Do you not “sweeping under the carpet” run distant with the legislature of the university into simple conformism and utilitarianism?

After all, Mr Leszek Sykulski did not abandon his technological and educational activities in favour of social and political activity, as you claim, but greatly expanded it in the name of defence of the Polish state. As an officer of the Polish Army and a well-educated man, Dr. Leszek Sykulski is perfectly able to separate between the Polish Law of State and the abroad one, and you yourself trusted this by accepting him for work.

Today, Lord Sikulski was judged negatively by the Lord without judgement and without the anticipation of any defence in the name of conformism, right?

You proceed in the justification of your decision: “I regret that the views that Dr. Sikulski is saying at the moment, the environment that surrounds you is so socially controversial...” and I and Poles focused on the social movement of 16 Postulates ask and anticipate answers:

– On what basis do you make specified claims?

With 1 point of your statement, I, and the Polish, social R16P agree completely: “Unless we are direct participants of this war, the result of this war will have a direct impact on the safety of Poland.”

We Poles are highly painfully experienced in the war of the nation, which is why all Pole is at the heart of PEACE and all Pole is opposed to war on our land! And no Pole in the country and in the world, but the fools, now there is no uncertainty that the wind of past is blowing hard again and breaking our borders. That is why the courageous voices of the Polish Anti-War Movement are close to the heart of all patriot. So, Mr. Rector, delight perceive to what average people say on the streets, not just your nods and current politicians on TV.

K.I. Gałczyński, in his very well-known piece, pointed to the attitudes presented by the people at that time: “When the wind of history/people is blowing like beautiful birds/wings grow, and/the pants are shaking to the loops.”

– Do you, as Rector of the university educating the attitude of Polish youth, inactive want to build a ship that goes down rapidly and in front of us?

– Did you prepare the youth of the university for adult life, work and a wise fight for the welfare of Poland and their own?

– As a Rector, by sticking to your views and breaking brave, courageous people's spines, did you primarily care about producing "educated mennels" ?

– What staff of future Polish officials and leaders are you educating by giving them your own example?

Please note that your decision to remove Dr. Leszek Sykulski from work kills all patriotic and democratic values in this youth, in educators and many observers!

Dr. Leszek Sykulski raised large respect in Poles with his courageous attitude worthy of an officer of the Polish Army and of a wise Polish patriot.

What about you?

The end of your justification for dismissal is: “I, as rector, can’t see the anticipation of reconciling the current activity of Dr. Sykulski with his public speeches at the university today.” Therefore, we ask for a more insightful look, which will let you to see things as they are, and as seen by the prism of cyclicalism and your own career.

I Pole, I have lived in this planet for a long time, I have seen and survived in both Poland and another continents. Poles are everywhere due to the fact that they were and are regularly destroyed physically and economically, and this for over 200 years has been constantly destroying the Polish soul. Why? Always not in the name of Polish, but of a abroad state, and you, as an educated man, know it perfectly well.

Dr. Leszek Sykulski did not sale his soul to the devil to guarantee a comfortable, safe future, as many entrepreneurs present do. That is righteousness and valor! Poles value them very much. A university in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski may be arrogant of the fact that Mr Leszek Sykulski was associated with it. It is not by chance that in the investigation of historians Tadeusz Kościuszko was indicated as the top hero of Poland...

We've all faced serious life dilemmas recently. Dr Leszek Sykulski besides chose the way of righteousness according to the principles in his Polish home, in good Polish schools, during training in the Polish army and in Polish offices.

We ask you to keep all this in head and reconsider your decisions regarding Dr. Leszek Sykulski and his activities. I, and the Polish, social movement of 16 Postulates, request that Dr. Leszek Sykulski be reinstated to work if He wishes.

Sincerely,

Zygmunt Maria Przetakiewicz Jr.
