Beautiful weather, crowds along the way and the state-of-the-art equipment of the Polish Army – can you imagine a better scenery of a soldier holiday? The culmination point and surely the most attractive component of the Polish Army Christmas was the parade, which passed through the streets of Warsaw. What could you see at the parade?
The march of the military parade is already a tradition of capital celebrations of the Polish Army. all year, crowds of spectators gather along the way that soldiers cross each year to look closely at everything the military has. It was no different today. The celebration was supported by excellent weather, and that Poles love their soldiers and everyone wanted to thank them on this peculiar day for their devoted service, attendance was record.
Traditionally, the top and heaviest vehicles were aroused by large enthusiasm. Abramsy, Leopardy and K2 are 3 types of tanks that are equipped with the Polish Army. Each of them comes from a different country, but together, under a white-red banner they are of the power of land troops. In the event of an armed conflict, they will be the main burden of fighting.
On the battlefield, the top threat to the armored divisions is an air strike. Both man-controlled machines and increasingly efficient and autonomous drones are effective weapons against tanks. That's why it's so crucial to defend the ground troops. The importance of anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence is clearly seen in both the purchasing priorities of the Ministry of Defence and in the composition of the Christmas parade. The task of Pilica, Narew, Poprad and Vistula sets is to defend the Polish sky.
Investment in artillery has made this kind of military a real force of the Polish Army. Crabs, K9, Raki, yet lobsters and HIMARS are able to cut targets at considerable distances and supply comprehensive fire support to land troops.
This year's debut was called tick reconnaissance wagons. Only yesterday was the contract signed for the transportation of 28 of these vehicles for Polish soldiers. In total, by 2035, nearly 300 of them will be sent to the army. In units these machines will replace the utilized post-Soviet BRDM-2 structures and will primarily be utilized to conduct the diagnosis.
On Christmas Day, the Polish Army could not miss airplanes and helicopters with a white-red chessboard. Over Wisłostrada in the defilade formation flew, among others, F-16 multitasking aircraft or Black Hawk helicopters. They were accompanied by 2 F-35 machines. Unfortunately, they were not Polish aircraft yet. However, in a fewer weeks, Poland will become 1 of the fewer countries in the fleet that operate these machines. But before that, in the Polish sky we could admire the F-35 in the colors of the United States Armed Forces.
The 3rd component of Polish safety – alongside trained soldiers and modern weapons – are our allies. For respective years now, NATO troops have been stationed in our country, thus expressing their knowing of the situation on the east flank of the Alliance and the forces that unite us. Military participation from abroad in the Christmas parade is already a tradition. This year, soldiers from the United States, large Britain and Romania, representing the NATO Combat Group, and representatives of Eurocorpus and the NATO Joint Forces Training Centre, marched side by side with Polish colleagues.
