A portable dynamic miner strategy is simply a specialized military device that allows fast and safe formation of passages in mine fields or areas with suspected presence of mines and improvised explosives (IEDs). The strategy consists of a launcher and a alleged elongated charge in the form of a flexible ‘snake’, which is fired for a specified distance and falls down on a mined area. Detonation of the elongated charge destroys mines or initiates their detonation in its range. The portable strategy works primarily in a hard area where dense equipment with larger loads cannot be introduced.
Wescom Signal & Rescue Germany uses more than a century of experience in the production of military pyrotechnic and energy systems (including light and smoke signaling, flares, position markers, chemical detectors) which are utilized in search and rescue operations. Wescom operates with plants in the UK, Germany and Spain, serving customers worldwide, including the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom, Germany and another allies and partners.
