Ilham Aliyev wins election in Azerbaijan for 5th time

Aliyev, who inherited power after his father's death in 2003, received 92 percent of the vote: “The people of Azerbaijan elected Ilham Aliyev as the country's president,” Central Election Commission chief Mazakhir Panakhov told a news conference, adding that turnout was 67.7 percent.
