ILA 24: Polish glider and space technologies

The glider Jay was designed for aeroclubs and pilots competing in a glider competition. It was created in cooperation with Polish gliders and felt people winning in global competitions. The device has thus been created almost for their "order" and so has the chance to gain a strong marketplace position. Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation as a investigation and plan institution will not produce Jay, nevertheless there are promising talks about its industrialization. Currently, the first prototype finishes ground trials, and in July the flight trials are scheduled to begin. Jay, as a static yet inactive object, is expected to be present in August at the planet Championships in gliders in Germany and will be its authoritative premiere.
