On 5 April 2025, the 2nd Forum of Clubs of “Gazeta Polska” of Łódź Voivodeship was held in Piotrków Trybunalski. The event was attended by clubs from the Łódź region and guests from another parts of Poland, specified as Gliwice, Oświęcim, Brzeszcze, Pleshev, Sulejówek, Częstochowa, Kraków, Kielce-Centrum, Kielce, Libiż, Olsztyn, Pleszew, Varka and Paris. The editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polska”, Tomasz Sakiewicz, was besides present.
The Forum began with a common prayer at the monument of St. John Paul II, after which the participants went to the church of the Bernardine Fathers for Mass in the intention of the Homeland, the “Polish Newspaper” Clubs and the late Richard Kapusciński. The devotion was concelebrated by Fr. prof. Jarosław Wąsowicz and Fr. Michaash, the defender of the Piotrków monastery.
During the Forum, it was announced that the patron of the “Gazeta Polska” Club in Piotrków Trybunalski was Ryszard Kapuściński, the first president of the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs. This decision was met with the enthusiastic reception of the participants. Beata Drędź, head of the Piotrków Club, expressed her gratitude for the chance to honour Ryszard Kapuściński, emphasizing his contribution to the club's activities for the last 15 years.
The item of the event was a discussion panel devoted to the activities of the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs and the function of independent media, in peculiar the tv Republic.
