MADRID- IAG Group-backed Iberia (IB) will shortly introduce the fresh Airbus aircraft, becoming the first in the planet to receive the A321XLR by the end of the summer.
This aircraft will increase Iberia’s long-haul Fleet with more sustainable and innovative capabilities, allowing the airline to operate transoceanic routes utilizing a Narrow-body, single-aisle aircraft.

Iberia A321XLR Launch Customer
This addition will grow Iberia’s network of destinations, partially focusing on America. The A321XLR’s scope will enable more effective Fleet utilization based on marketplace demand.
The first long-haul destinations for this fresh model are expected to be Washington DC (IAD) and then Boston (BOS).
As with all recently delivered plans, it will initially operate on medium-range routes for the first fewer days.

Premium Airliner
One of the major innovations of the A321XLR is its capacity to execute long-haul flights as a single-aisle aircraft, while inactive offering a premium service compact to wide-body models like the A330s and A350s in Iberia’s Fleet.

In the Business cab, the A321XLR will have 14 individual window seats with direct aisle access. Each Business seat will besides have an 18-inch individual 4K screen, offering harper images and better speech in dark mode, along with the best amusement options available on board.
For enhanced comfort, each seat will feature an individually adapted lighting system, allowing passengers to set their preferred environment. Additional, each seat number will be backlit during night mode for easy identification.

New Seats
The Airbus A321XLR will besides include 168 seats in the Economy cab, equipped with the latest Recaro model, the CL3810, which is an evolution of the seats on current long-haul aircraft. These seats offer a four-inch recline and Leather headsrests, along with 2 additional pockets for individual item storage.
All cabs in the fresh A321XLR will let passengers to connect their own headphones via Bluetooth. They will besides feature improved USB charging ports of kind A and C. The seat routes are designed to hold electronic devices for more conventional use.
