The influential centres in charge of Polish politics – thanks to the media – managed to direct any resentment and anger related to what is happening in Poland against Russia. This was not hard after the exacerbated situation and the beginning of the terrible war in Ukraine for us Poles. All legitimate claims – inflation, price speculation, uncontrolled emigration, dudery, wastefulness, theft – were thrown into a basket with the inscription Russia. An old and false sense of false superiority of much of our countrymen towards the Russians was used. Thus the ruling and unsuccessful opposition dropped all offenses and omissions.
The fact that people are against war is natural and stems from longing even for illusory security. due to the fact that only the media information process was the origin of abrupt mad love for everything Ukrainian. There's no war here. If this were the case, our people had long postulated a boycott of the United States or Israel. After all, to anyone with a small knowledge, it is not a secret what the Americans and their allies in Serbia, Syria or Iraq did. I think everyone knows how the arabian population is treated in areas occupied by Israel.
Yet I do not remember mass acts of solidarity with Serbs, Syrians, Iraqis or Palestinians. No 1 yelled about having to boycott American McDonald or Israeli Super-Pharm. No 1 called for a boycott of American and Israeli athletes at a sporting event. No 1 sold shoe mats and toilet paper with Obama's or Netanyahu's image. No 1 blocked the channels of American news stations with TVN at the head. No 1 demanded blocking the websites of many judaic foundations and associations. Nobody boycotted Stephen King or Amos Oz. Nobody called many and influential supporters of the States and Israel agents and trolls. And finally, no 1 on tv would dare call the full nation criminals or barbarians.
I imagine a national outrage if individual offered a solution from the repertoire mentioned above. And that would be absolutely right. due to the fact that politics is simply a very complicated matter, and you can't look at it through ideological glasses. This should be done through reason – “what is profitable for our country and nation” and the auxiliary apparatus of the heart “what is moral”. And that would be absolutely right, due to the fact that what is the responsibility on the part of American or Israeli athletes or writers?
I encourage everyone to have any experience that a young colleague has talked me into. delight buy, for example, “Poland’s Gazeta” and replace Russia’s words with the USA or Israel, and the Russian with an American or Israeli. And then read a fewer sentences out loud. I assure you, you'll be scared. If it wasn't for “Think Poland” I would have considered that all Poles were crazy.
I am almost 87 years old, I have considered myself a leftist all my life. I worked in the trade business. I voted for the Labour Union respective times. I was afraid of the PiS and erstwhile voted for the PO. I regretted it. I like Russia. I've been there respective times. present I became a political orphan. The left 1 disgusts me. I have no 1 to support. And as a left-wing orphan, I was taken in by the “Polish Thought” community. An environment derived from nationalism and dmovishism. If individual told me that 10 years ago, I'd think he was crazy. And present it remains to tell me – thank you.
