... tears in the eyes, sighs to God...

Saturday, conventional ritual: going out with the dog, going buying with the wife, all work at home and around it. If you stay at home in the afternoon, then, at this time of year, reading the late press, music and movie on TV.
On that day, on April 10, 2010, after arriving from shopping, about 9 o'clock, we received an unexpected, emotional call from a daughter studying in Toruń; she said that returning from the store she heard people talking about the plane crashing in Russia with the Polish president. We immediately turned on the TV. The images and words conveyed tragedy; we experienced large pain, tears in our eyes, emotions reaching out to us, sighing to God.
Partial paralysis can be said, due to the fact that our operation that day was limited to tracking information from tv shows, exchanging words and performing only the essential activities.
In the evening we attended the Cathedral in Mass, held in the intention of those who died and all of us who needed peculiar spiritual reinforcement in connection with this national tragedy.
I besides remember that at the time of receiving information about the disaster and the confusion caused, the youngest boy woke up. On that day, he participated with us in sharing the experience. So far, busy with discipline in the method science, as well as his musical passion, he changed, as if affected by the vastness of experience. As a result, a week later, completely voluntarily, he represented our full household at the ceremony of the president and His Wife in Krakow. With the eldest boy that day, due to our remoteness, we had increased telephone contact.
In my memories I cannot limit myself to direct reactions, and I would besides like to draw attention to the consequences of crucial events in life.
I treat individual and community matters (family - national) as one, so this memorable day I place in the band of my most painful individual experiences.
And so chronologically: assassination of John Paul II, martial law in Poland, death of mother, death of father, departure of John Paul II and now - Smolensk.
I love this large good, whose name is Poland, due to the fact that how to treat a parent and father (Mator and Homeland) and all that is good, that is, a household and all that heritage over 1,000 years. I feel well and realize those who have demonstrated over the centuries that they are the unfortunate misfortune of the Homeland. I am a Catholic, and I effort to follow the way of truth, including the fact about all aspects of human life. How well Cyprian Kamil Norwid expressed this in his words “There is no request to bow down to the Circumstances, and to tell the truths to stand behind the door.”.
In the face of April 10, 2010, how ominous were Bronisław Komorowski's words that "The president will be flying somewhere and that will change everything". Just like this drama, the words match. “Let us ambush the righteous, for we are uncomfortable” (xMdr 2.12 ). These words with the signature “Solidarity”, together with Jerzy, Lech and Krystyna, were written on the canvas with paints in 1985, so that as a banner they would be placed at the grave of the late J. Popiełuszko.
Gradually, from the minute of the tragedy and the associated scandal, subsequent events in Poland and beyond our borders, it is clear that they "must have perished" (by the title of the book), and the construction of a democratic, sovereign, just, law-abiding Poland based on the foundations of good, or Decalogue, surviving peacefully among another nations, is again highly difficult. Therefore, at specified a time, we must remember the words of Józef Piłsudski “To be overcome and not yield is victory, to win and to remainder on the laurels is defeat”. Fortunately, many Poles who do not agree to the collapse of the state confirm this.
Alexander Ścios as a motto on his blog puts strong and actual words:
“We're not going to be together due to the fact that there's no licence for betrayal at dawn and false beyond human measure. We can't be together, due to the fact that our anger is powerless present erstwhile so many irreplaceable people have been taken from us. We will never be together due to the fact that we remember – who sowed hatred and wanted to reap its harvest”.
Nevertheless, I hope that, on the basis of the fact about April 10, 2010, genuine forgiveness and reconciliation are possible.

Here's a image of a flag mast in front of our house. Back then, for 9 days, the flag was a splint.
