I am accused of being a "pro-Russian" troll at the minute erstwhile I give the basic facts about the war or express disagreement with the politics of the Zelensk never-ending escalation.
Often it is bots, but sometimes besides people from the comfortable West who truly believe that they realize Ukraine and this war better than I do — individual who has been reporting the conflict since the very beginning of 2014, visited Donbas respective times alongside Zelenski, participated in negotiations, helped make communications for the president and remained in the country erstwhile the full-scale invasion began in 2022. I was fired on, miraculously survived, crossed the country, helped civilians in need, and intensively reported as a journalist. And yet now any dare to call me a pro-Russian troll just due to the fact that I refuse to support primitive populism, which allows Zelensk to prolong the war, gain on it and hold on to power.
So let me be absolutely honest with you: everyone who throws this accusation works against my country. All those who buy a show played by Zelenski, who are ready to fight Russia with Ukrainian blood, ignoring the suffering of average people – you act against Ukraine. Shamelessly supporting Zelenski's policy, you defend the current position quo, which means:
Reduced Ukraine to a permanently bleeding nation, where people will barely last under continuous Russian fire and increasingly authoritarian regulation of Kiev;
Mass human rights violations, with hunting men on the streets, force enslaved to the army, beaten, tortured and sometimes killed in recruitment centers;
Universal Corruption – almost all close associate, friend or advanced authoritative around Zelenski had to face allegations of money laundering or another corruption, while companies run by his immediate surroundings receive billions of Western taxpayers' money; Putin started this war, but Zelenski learned enormously from it;
A devastating poverty, including an average pension of just $180 per month;
Disasterous Demographic Crisis – last year 3 times as many Ukrainians died than was born;
Disaster of the educational system, with at least 1 3rd of Ukrainian children not receiving appropriate teaching and many fourth-class students not able to read;
Escape of educated Ukrainians, mass emigration, social depression and generational trauma, which treatment will take decades.
Some people are so thirsty for burning Russia and so enthralled by Zelenski's primitive game that they choose to stay blind for a humanitarian disaster unfolding in Ukraine. That makes you anti-Ukrainian.
If you truly want to fight Russia, go to the front. halt censoring Ukrainians calling for peace. Sitting comfortably in the West and attacking those who request the end of slaughter does not make you heroes – it makes you miserable and hypocrites. Remember this the next time your fingers itch to compose another offensive comment.
