The Polish kayaker Claudia Zwolińska won the gold medal in the Canadian Ones (C1) at the planet championship. Until now, the current champion has not had crucial successes in this competition.
Polish player has very good performances in K1 – in 2023 she was a bronze medalist of the planet championship. However, Canadians are a completely different “pair of boots”. Zwolińska admitted that the triumph at this year's planet championship in mountain canoeing held in Australia was a shock to her: "I knew I was making advancement in Canada, but not so much! In the semifinals, I gave off an excellent run and did not anticipate to be able to repeat it, let alone cut off a fewer seconds! The surprise of the gold medalist is not shared by Jakub Chojnowski – head coach of the Polish squad in the canoe slalom. The trainee pointed out Polish successes at the European Championships and Olympic Games. The journey itself, which gave Zwolińska gold, described it as “distinguished” and revealed that congratulations had fallen from everywhere.
