The Hungarian authorities fined a advanced fine 1 of the Budapest bookstores due to the sale of a comic book popular among teenagers around the planet telling about the love of 2 boys – “Heartstopper”. What's so bad about the Hungarian government in the cartoon bestseller?
"Heartstopper" by British author Alice Oseman without packaging in foil preventing her from looking inside was exhibited in the youth literature section. The Hungarian bookstore Lira Kereskedelmi Kft received a fine of 12 million forints, or about 140 1000 PLN, for this “debted act”. It is simply a fear to think how much the punishment for placing a Bible bookshop in this section, in which Jesus “loves” 12 men.
A Comic about Love and hatred
A controversial book that does not let Hungarian authorities to sleep peacefully is simply a communicative of increasing up in which 2 advanced school students Charlie and Nick fall in love. Many another heroes from the LGBTQ+ community are besides scrolling in the plot, and the author describes problems with self-acceptance and self-discovery during a turbulent period of puberty.
However, the British comic book did not like all the customers of the bookstore. Personally, I think it's the cover, these pastel colors are even besides much for me for a simple book. There it is. individual – due to the fact that it is not good to point a finger – filed a study to the metropolitan office that there is simply a “promotion or presentation of homosexuality among people under the age of 18” at the bookstore, which, according to the controversial Anti-Pedophile Act of June 2021, is an offence and is subject to fine. The officials, like the pervasive Sherlock Holmes, conducted an investigation, without a shadow of a uncertainty stating the offense and punishing the highest bookstore of this kind imposed by a punishment in Hungary.
Orban Protects Teen Morality
The above-mentioned law — LXXIX law — originally provided for "a more stringent action against pedophile criminals and a revision of certain provisions to defend children". However, as a consequence of fresh changes called "promoting or presenting a gender-related identity, sex change or homosexuality among under-18s", it is easy to add 2 to two, thus deduce how a pastel comic strip with young gays on the cover became the enemy of the Hungarian people.
The government promoted the bill as “protecting children and youth against depravity” and “protecting Christian values”. Which, of course, sounds beautiful, so the people did not even effort to see what was under these slogans, but as it turned out, it is not so pink, and in fact it is simply a violation of fundamental human rights and discrimination of persons on grounds of sexual orientation and sex identity. And then no 1 liked the bill, but, so to speak, now it's mustard after dinner, sobbing and crying.
The creativity of the Hungarian authorities has besides displeased the European Union and many countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia and Sweden. Viktor Orban, however, does not intend to back down and, as he himself wrote, “The safety of our children is our highest priority”
#homophobia – Poland likes it
The fight for the “good of children” of the Hungarian Prime Minister is supported by the Minister of Education Przemysław Czarnek, who fights for the rights of teenagers in Polish lands. – All depravations, deviations, perversions and promotion of these things, especially among young people and children, is just shameful – reported the mystery during the celebration at the Medical University of Lublin, held on July 17, 2023.
Poland was besides the only EU country that did not join the open criticism of the homophobic conduct of Hungary, but in a country where discrimination against women, LGBT people and all citizen who does not support the ideology of the Law and Justice is flourishing, does anyone else wonder?
