He was 1 of those soldiers who, after disbanding the squad, did not lay down their weapons and continued their conflict for freedom of homeland.

The saber of 34 is 1 of the most celebrated Polish white weapons constructions. It is simply a symbol of pre-war owlans and absolutely without abusing the word – a national legend. Louisovski (from the Ludwik Huta in Kielce, where these swords were produced) The Polish army in September 1939 had about 40,000 and although many of them have survived to this day, only a fewer of them can be attributed to the confirmed proven provenance.

With this greater pride we want to show you 1 – a saber completely unique and yet unknown – belonging to the adjutant Major Henryk Dobrzański – “Hubal”. This sabre accompanied the Hubalians on their conflict trail, was in the victorious conflict of Hucile (30 March 1940), it was besides in the grove under Anielin where the last cavalryman of the September run died on 30 April 1940.

Ossowski's conflict way is not only the Branch of the Polish Army, it is besides the 1939 defence War, the Army of Pomerania, the defence of the Fortress of the Modlins, it is simply a conspiracy in the ZWZ and the AK, it is yet the Warsaw Uprising. He was 1 of the Hubalians—volunteers who did not lay down their weapons and took off their uniform. Most of them, even after disbanding the branch, continued to fight. Today – in the movie “Shabel of the Hubalians”, to which we warmly encourage – we will tell you this unique story. The past of people, the past of 1 man, a unique past of weapons and a truly valuable fragment of Polish history. Without betraying the content of the film, I will just say that after the dissolution of the “Hubala” branch Ossowski hid his sword. He drew it out with his ten-year-old boy in the late 1960s, going on a conspiratorial (before his wife, of course) journey with the Syren car. The conspiracy in this case was, of course, caused by the possible anger of the spouse for exposing her boy to climbing a tree on a car spare wheel. And while Henryk Ossowski "Dołęga" has been dead for almost 50 years, his sword, this unique relic of national memory, is inactive kept by the Ossowski household according to his will.

The release of this exhibition, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the death of Major ‘Hubal’, is something truly special, especially as many material memorabilia have not been preserved after the Hubalians.

We invitation you to watch the film, which is already rather peculiar in itself – we owe to Karol Hoang, spokesperson of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, and – no wonder – Henryk Ossowski, boy of Henryk Ossowski – adjutant of Major Hubal.

The movie is the culmination of the immense social work of many people who wanted to tell you this communicative and remind you of the function of the Hubalians in our history. The film's budget is simply a fuel tank, a cabbage head (which we calm down here) and a immense amount of work and sacrifice for many people.

The list of people and institutions active in or patronising the movie shows how crucial it is: the Ministry of National Defence, the Office for Combatants and Represented People, the Office and Mayor of the Śródmieście territory of Warsaw, the Museum of the Polish Army, the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising, the president of Płocka City or even Mrs. Małgorzata Potocka (excellent actress, the creative function of “Tereska” in the movie “Hubal” by Bohdan Poręba).

It is of peculiar importance that the movie “The Hubalians’ Shabla” is sponsored by the 3 largest Kombatan organizations – the planet Association of National Army Soldiers, the Association of Polish Combatants and erstwhile Political Prisoners and the Association of Warsaw Insurgents.

We besides send a immense thank you to the reconstructors active in the creation of the film, who found the time to full support us free of charge in the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the death of the Last Cavaliers II of Poland. The Association of the Hubalists 1939-1940, the Volunteer Squadron of Cavalry of the 1st Regiment of Schwolezers Józef Piłsudski, the St. Achatius Group of Historical Reconstruction from Skolatov – we offer heartfelt thanks.
