Armored fighting vehicles specified as tanks have been with us for 107 years, erstwhile they were first deployed in series production and service in 1916 during planet War I. In the course of evolution, all possible characteristics of this kind of armament were improved. For many years, however, a very crucial problem was not noticed or ignored, namely the threat posed by own ammunition stored inside the vehicle, in the event of an effective penetration of armor by an enemy shell. Let's take a look at this issue and the various, more or little successful solutions that have been developed over decades of armored weapons development.
